Root's Point Pleasant is a continuation of the 2005 American television show Point Pleasant.
The continuation initially plays out directly after the events of the season one finale, with Christina having given into to her destiny and in the midst of destroying the town of Point Pleasant as it happened in the show.
The continuation began on 7th February 2015. The show creator is Root. It was her first original project, and was written by her after she was left unsatisfied by the show's real-life series finale. Five episodes were posted up until 11th March 2015 before the series went on indefinite hiatus during which time root stated she was happy with leaving the show where it was, feeling the story had reached some kind of natural conclusion. On 31st January 2016, root changed course -posting a brand new sixth episode; which she later confirmed as being the start of a brand new set of episodes focusing on events prior to Christina even arriving in Point Pleasant. A seventh episode is forthcoming.
The project has received praise for being original, in its storyline and writing style and praise, while weak at first, has got stronger as the show has gone on. The fifth episode in particular is singled out for being well written. The project has recently been moved from the 'Classics' section on Writers Express, to the main part of the forum following the posting of new episodes for 2016.
